The normal factory warranties apply throughout Europe.
For inspections, repairs or the like, you can freely choose the manufacturer’s authorized workshop without losing your warranty claims.
The other discount options differ depending on the vehicle model and offer. They are offered at the end of the configuration. In general, there are the following discount options:
- Previous ownership of a third-party brand: only valid if you have previously owned a third-party brand (except VW, Seat, Skoda), holding period 6 months, personal identity
- Driving licence newbie: only valid for new drivers who have obtained their driving licence no more than 24 months ago
- Severely disabled discount: Bonus for people with disabilities, proof required
- Efficiency bonus: for trade-ins of used cars, only possible for certain vehicle models
- Journalist bonus: press pass required
- Journalist discount: press pass required
- Premium for clubs and associations: Proof is required
- Discount for clubs and associations: proof is required
- Short-term registration: mostly on request, limited quantities available
- Demonstration car: Vehicle that has been used as a demonstration car in a car dealership
The first general inspection (HU) at the TÜV is required after three years. After that, it must be done at regular intervals of two years.
